Pakistani TV host and actor Sahir Lodhi has been arrested, allegedly, in a Rs40 million investment fraud case involving dishonoured cheques.
According to the FIR registered at Shah Latif Town police station, complainant Naghma Wakeel accused Lodhi and his associate Faisal Zia of not returning her investment.
Why was FIR registered against Sahir Lodhi?
She said that they had issued several cheques as repayment, but many of them were dishonoured.
Wakeel said that she received some money back, but a large amount remained unpaid after the cheques bounced.
She later approached the District and Sessions Court Malir under Sections 22-A and 22-B of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The court directed the police to register a case.
According to some reports, the case was filed on the complaint of Nazar Mohammad. According to FIR No. 1569/2026, the complainant said he had financial dealings with Lodhi.

Police have started investigating the allegations, according to reports. Lodhi’s reported arrest is the latest development in the case.
Cheques worth millions allegedly bounced
According to the FIR, four cheques were worth Rs200,000 each. Two others were for Rs900,000 each. The remaining cheques were worth Rs4.5 million and Rs2 million.

Previously, Sahir Lodhi spoke about his wife, who is rarely seen in public. Lodhi said that his wife and children have never appeared on any TV show.
Although he has appeared on several morning shows, his wife has never joined him. He said he has never forced his wife to appear in public. According to Lodhi, staying away from the public eye is her own choice.
The actor also said that there is no need to call their relationship private. He believes his wife simply prefers to keep her life away from the spotlight.
