Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced an online facility enabling international travellers and Umrah pilgrims to obtain digital vaccination certificates before travelling abroad.
The development comes after the Airport Health Department made NADRA vaccination certificates mandatory for passengers travelling internationally from all airports across Pakistan from September 14, 2026.
Under the new system, travellers can obtain a digital vaccination certificate carrying a QR code through the National Immunisation Management System (NIMS) website, without having to visit a government office.
How to obtain a NADRA vaccination certificate online
Travellers can obtain their vaccination certificate by visiting the NIMS portal at nims.nadra.gov.pk.
Applicants are required to enter their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) number and date of issue, or provide their passport details. They must then enter the required personal information along with the security code.
A fee of Rs100 is charged for the certificate, which can be paid online using a debit or credit card, JazzCash or Easypaisa.
Once the payment has been successfully confirmed, applicants can download their digital vaccination certificate. The certificate can also be printed and kept with other travel documents.
The Health Department has advised international passengers to complete the process before reaching the airport to avoid unnecessary delays and the possibility of missing their flights.
Umrah pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia have been particularly advised to obtain their NADRA vaccination certificates before departure.
Airlines have also been instructed to verify vaccination certificates before issuing boarding passes to Umrah pilgrims.
Passengers have therefore been urged to ensure their vaccination records and certificates are in order before travelling, particularly in view of the new requirement taking effect from September 14.
