The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has shared details about the pensioners who can use its Proof of Life Certificate service in the first phase.
According to Nadra, the service is currently available to pensioners from federal and provincial departments managed by the Controller General of Accounts and provincial accountants general.
The facility is also available to pensioners from Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Pensioners from all three armed forces can also use the service if they are managed by the Military Accountant General.
NADRA and Radio Pakistan pensioners are also included in the first phase.

How will the service expand?

NADRA said that the pensioners from other departments will also get the service. It will be introduced for them in different phases.
The Proof of Life Certificate allows pensioners to complete their life verification through the Pak ID mobile app.
NADRA had earlier said pensioners should complete the verification again through the app if the certificate is requested after one month or six months.
A new certificate will be issued each time the verification is completed. It will then be sent automatically to the relevant pension department.

Proof of life service launched

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had earlier launched the Proof of Life Certificate service for pensioners.
The purpose of the service is to make the verification process easier for pensioners and reducing the need for them to visit offices for the process.

NADRA vaccination certificate

International passengers travelling abroad from Pakistan will be required to carry a valid NADRA vaccination certificate from September 14, 2026.
According to new instructions issued by the Airport Health Department, passengers without the required vaccination certificate may not be allowed to travel internationally.
Umrah pilgrims have specially been advised to obtain their NADRA vaccination cards before reaching the airport for departure.
