The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced temporary power cuts in several areas on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
The power supply will be stopped for maintenance and other routine work. The company said the schedule covers different areas of its service region.
What is the power suspension schedule?
In Attock Circle, electricity will remain off from 6 AM to 12 PM at the Khan Abad feeder.
In Jhelum Circle, power supply will be suspended from 6 AM to 11 AM at the Abbas Pura and Katchary Jhelum feeders.
In GSO Circle, electricity will remain suspended at different times.
Power will be off from 7 AM to 9 AM in Downtown and WTC.
The supply will also be suspended from 9am to 12pm on the 132KV ISPR-D-12 circuit at C.B E14Q1.
From 9 AM to 4 PM, power supply will remain suspended at 132KV AWC HMC Taxila and 132KV Sangjani-Burhan.
Another suspension will take place from 8 AM to 6 PM at 132KV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132KV New Wah-Bahtermore. The related earth switch and nearby areas will also be affected.
IESCO issues apology
IESCO has also apologised to consumers for the temporary disruption.
The company said power could be restored earlier if the maintenance work is completed before the scheduled time.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to plan ahead and make arrangements for the scheduled power outage.
IESCO limits load shedding
IESCO has issued directives prohibiting load shedding of more than two hours, in line with instructions from the federal government and the Ministry of Energy.
In compliance with directives issued by the federal government and the Ministry of Energy’s Power Division, IESCO Chief Executive Officer Chaudhry Khalid Mahmood ordered the cancellation of all approved system maintenance shutdowns across the region.
He further directed that, in the event of a supply-demand gap, load management in any area must not exceed two hours.
