Popular Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has spoken openly about her second experience with pregnancy after 17 years.
She talked about the physical changes involved, along with the emotional changes that accompany this period.

Mahira Khan talks about second pregnancy

Mahira Khan recently revealed her baby bump at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). She also shared a picture on Instagram, sharing the news with her fans.
She discussed her initial hesitation to share her pregnancy with the public.
In an interview, Mahira Khan explained that she usually avoids discussing her private life in public.
Adding that this was the reason why she was hesitant to share the news.
However, she later realised that she wanted to embrace the changes in her body rather than hide them.

She also highlighted the differences between her first and current pregnancies.
The actress noted that she was only 24 years old during her first pregnancy, and she is now 41.
According to her, the two experiences are vastly different.
She added that at 24 she was more energetic and carefree. She was in good health and did not dwell on potential pregnancy complications, but the situation is different this time around.
She stated that experiencing pregnancy for the second time at age 41 feels physically more challenging.

What emotional changes did Mahira Khan talk about?

Adding that the experience has also brought about significant emotional changes for her.
She said, “I have an older son. I have my work, my routines, and my independence. I had a certain vision of what this phase of my life would look like. Suddenly finding myself embarking on this journey again after so many years brought about a major emotional shift for me.”
The actress remarked that while one often envisions various aspects of life, the reality at a given stage doesn’t necessarily align with those initial imaginings.
“But we make plans, and then Allah makes plans, and His plans are undoubtedly the best.”
Mahira Khan also noted that this unexpected pregnancy is teaching her to let go of the need to plan every aspect of life according to her own will and, instead, to embrace circumstances as they unfold.
