The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for the country for the next 24 hours, predicting rain in some areas tonight and on Sunday, while most regions are expected to remain dry and slightly warmer than in recent days.
According to the department, most parts of the country will experience dry weather tonight. Similar conditions are expected to prevail across most areas on Sunday, although daytime temperatures in the plains may remain warm.
The forecast shows that the northern mountainous regions may experience partly cloudy skies from Sunday afternoon. Islamabad and its surrounding areas are expected to remain dry, with slightly warm conditions during the day.
Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to remain dry, while daytime temperatures may rise in the plains. The upper districts may experience partly cloudy skies from the afternoon. Most districts of Punjab are also expected to remain dry, with warm conditions in the plains during the day. Murree, Galyat and surrounding areas are likely to remain dry, although partly cloudy skies may develop in the afternoon.
Hot and dry weather is expected in most districts of Sindh, while partly cloudy skies may prevail in coastal areas. Most parts of Balochistan are also forecast to experience hot and dry conditions. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, skies may become partly cloudy from the afternoon, with a possibility of light rain in some areas of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The department said that most parts of the country experienced hot and dry weather during the past 24 hours. The highest temperature of 41°C was recorded in Dadu and Sibi.
