PIA announces air hostess jobs in Karachi

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced new job opportunities for women interested in joining as air hostesses for positions at its Karachi base.

The airline is looking for female candidates between the ages of 20 and 28 years for cabin crew positions. Applicants must have at least a bachelor’s degree to be eligible for the recruitment process.

Interested candidates can submit their resumes and applications online. The deadline for applications is October 7, 2026.

Who can apply?

Female candidates aged 20 to 28 who meet the minimum educational requirement can apply.

PIA has previously conducted cabin crew recruitment drives for its Lahore and Islamabad bases, while the latest announcement expands the hiring process to Karachi.

Candidates are advised to use PIA’s official recruitment channels when submitting their details and check the requirements before applying. The airline maintains an official careers section on its website for employment opportunities.

PIA tightens rules for cabin crew

The recruitment comes as PIA has also introduced stricter rules governing existing cabin crew.

In September, the airline issued a circular restricting air hostesses to a maximum of one packet containing 20 cigarettes during flight duty. The airline warned that violations could result in suspension or removal from flight duties.

In June rules were tightened concerning smoking and tobacco products among cabin crew. Flight attendants were prohibited from carrying cigarettes, cigars or other tobacco products in their personal luggage. Smoking was also banned during flights, hotel stays and in public places while crew members were on duty.

PIA management said compliance with the rules is mandatory and violations can lead to disciplinary proceedings.

PIA fined more than Rs 1 crore

Previously, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) fined Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) more than Rs10 million over delays in delivering passengers’ baggage.

The fines were imposed after passengers complained about delays in receiving their luggage after landing. The PAA directed PIA to pay the fines by September 25, but the airline failed to pay them by the deadline.
