Pakistan and Sri Lanka are set to begin their three-match T20 series in Rawalpindi, with security arrangements stepped up ahead of the visiting team’s matches.

The first match of the Pakistan-Sri Lanka T20 series will be played on October 9 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM, with both teams expected to complete their final preparations before the opening game.

Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka will hold training sessions this evening as they prepare for the series opener. Before the training sessions, the captains of the two teams are also scheduled to address the media.

The series trophy will also be unveiled ahead of the first match, marking the formal start of the three-match contest.

Meanwhile, security arrangements have been tightened for the visiting cricket teams. The Punjab Home Department and the Chief Commissioner Islamabad had requested additional security measures, following which the army and Rangers have been deployed for the security of the teams.

The security deployment comes as Pakistan prepares to host a busy period of international cricket. Authorities have made arrangements around the teams’ movements and venues to ensure that the matches take place without disruption.
