The Punjab government has introduced an online tracking facility to make it easier for driving licence applicants to check the status of their licences without visiting traffic licensing offices.
According to the details, the Driving Licence Information Management System (DLIMS) allows citizens across Punjab to check their licence status using their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) number.
To use the service, applicants need to search for “DLIMS Tracking” in their internet browser and open the official tracking portal. They must enter their 13-digit CNIC number without dashes, complete the security verification (CAPTCHA), and click on “Track License” to view the latest status.
The system provides updates on the licence processing, printing and delivery stages.
If the status displays “Your regular license is in printing queue,” it means the licence is awaiting printing.
Once the licence has been printed and dispatched, a Pakistan Post tracking number is provided through the system. Applicants can use this number on the Pakistan Post website to track their delivery and check the latest shipment details.
The online facility aims to save citizens time and effort by allowing them to monitor their driving licence applications from home.
