Gujranwala police have arrested a woman and booked her under sections of ‘adultery’ after an alleged immoral “Umairy viral video” went viral online creating a social media stir.
The clip was circulated under the titles “Umairy Viral Video” and “7 Minutes 11 Seconds Video”.
The woman involved in the video has been detained by Gujranwala Police and a case under adultery has been registered against her and started an investigation on the notice of CPO Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan.
Police used modern technical tools to trace the woman and was later taken into custody.
Special police teams were formed to identify other suspects seen in the footage. The teams are working under the supervision of DSP Cantt.
The Gujranwala CPO said the inquiry would be conducted on merit and assured action against all those involved under the law.
In the audio, the woman can be heard insulting her husband and brothers while praising a man identified as “Umairy,” which has triggered widespread public debate and anger.
Social media platforms, including TikTok and Facebook, removed the video due to content policy. However, screenshots and short clips are still circulating online.
