Karachi temperatures start rising up

The weather in Karachi is changing rapidly and day time temepratures have started rising along with humidity levels.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Karachi is expected to be dry and foggy in the morning and will remain dry and cool at night during the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of light fog in the city in the morning.

The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature in the city has been recorded at 14.5 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to be between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius, in addition to this, the humidity in the air is 90 percent.

 Rain in Punjab

According to the PDMA, a westerly wind system is entering Punjab from today, due to which severe cold and foggy conditions will continue across the province including Lahore, while heavy snowfall and rain are likely in Murree, Galiyat and other mountainous areas from January 20 to 23. During the same period, rain is also expected in most districts of Punjab.

According to DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia, in view of the possible bad weather conditions, an alert has been issued to the local government, health department, Rescue 1122, police, forest department, C&W, tourism and transport department. He has directed that the staff in the emergency control rooms be kept on alert 24 hours so that any emergency situation can be dealt with in a timely manner.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Lahore is expected to be 4 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 14 degrees. In this regard, citizens have been instructed to avoid unnecessary travel in case of bad weather. Tourists visiting Murree should take precautionary measures and follow the instructions issued.
