Pakistani film actress, Meera has been admitted in a psychological hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, the United States.
The actress suffered severe psychological stress during the filming of her upcoming movie that will be released on Eid. She will star in renowned actor Shaan Shahid’s directorial film which is being produced by Red Lipstick Productions.
The film falls under the thriller genre and required Meera to deliver very intense scenes. The film’s psychologically dark nature took a toll on the mental health of the actress.
She is now receiving treatment at the mental health center. Her role was also termed as psychologically demanding. However, much is still not known about the film.

Meera is a popular actress who has garnered both popularity and criticism due to her controversial roles in both Lollywood and Bollywood.
In Pakistan, she played a role in the 2004 Lollywood film, Salakhein with other roles in ‘Bichday Toh Ahsaas Hua’ and ‘Husan Ara Kaun’. She has earned a nomination for Lux Style Awards for the drama, ‘Mein Sitara’.
Her most critically acclaimed performances in Bollywood include the supernatural thriller, ‘Nazar’. The psychological thriller, ‘Hotal’ earned her the Best Actress Award at the 3rd Delhi International Film Festival in 2014.
