The brave people of District Kurram have gathered at the Pak-Afghan border to express solidarity with the Pakistani armed forces.
A clear message has emerged from the people of Kurram that this war against terrorism is not about any sect; it is about the defence of our homeland.
Most of the people viewed, “There are no Shias or Sunnis here, there are only Pakistanis, standing united to protect their soil and determined to defeat every evil intention of the enemy’.
Anyone who casts a malicious eye on this land will have to face our unity and national solidarity, they reiterated.
We stand shoulder to shoulder with our brave Pakistan Army in every situation and are ready to make any sacrifice for the security of our homeland.
It is worth mentioning here that last month, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi sharply criticised the provincial government over the resurgence of terrorism in the region.
In a tweet on X, he questioned the accountability of the provincial leadership, pointing out that a peaceful province handed over in 2013 is once again under the shadow of terror.
Faisal Karim Kundi wrote on X, “If a peaceful province was handed over to the provincial government in 2013 and today it is once again in the grip of terrorism, then who is responsible if not the provincial leadership?”
The governor further condemned claims by the chief minister that intelligence-based operations were underway without government approval, saying such statements reflect not just incompetence but a complete collapse in governance.
Referring to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly those in Tirah and Kurram, Kundi emphasised that what citizens need is leadership, not rhetoric. He urged the government to prioritise security and the immediate rehabilitation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) over political drama, stressing that decisive action, not speeches, is essential to restore peace in the province.
