PSL 11: Quetta Gladiators set competitive 175-run target for Hyderabad Kingsmen

Quetta Gladiators defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 40 runs in the 5th match of PSL 11.

Batting first at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Quetta Gladiators posted a competitive total of 174 for 8 in their 20 overs, thanks to solid innings from Shamil Hussain and Hassan Nawaz.

Chasing a target of 175, Hyderabad Kingsmen could manage only 134 for 8. Irfan Niazi scored 33, Hassan Khan 31, and Labushin 23 runs, while Moaz Sadaqat was out for a duck, Saim Ayub made 8, and Usman Khan scored 14.

With this win, Quetta Gladiators secured their first victory in Pakistan Super League 11, while Hyderabad Kingsmen suffered their second consecutive defeat.

In an important match of the Pakistan Super League, Quetta Gladiators set a target of 175 runs for Hyderabad Kingsmen.

Batting first, Quetta Gladiators scored 174 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted overs. Shamil Hussain was the top performer for Quetta with 54 runs, while Hassan Nawaz played an impressive innings of 53 runs. Tom Curran also made a valuable contribution, scoring 31 runs.

For Hyderabad Kingsmen, Riley Meredith was the most successful bowler, taking 3 wickets, while Mahesh Thrishane and Akif Javed claimed 2 wickets each.

It is worth noting that both teams are playing their second match of the tournament, having lost their opening games. Quetta Gladiators were defeated by Karachi Kings, while Hyderabad Kingsmen lost to Lahore Qalandars.
