Security forces successfully foiled a series of coordinated attacks allegedly carried out by Fitna Al Hindustan at multiple locations across Balochistan, according to sources.
In Quetta’s Nosar area, unidentified assailants opened fire on a police post. The attack was promptly responded to by police personnel, forcing the attackers to retreat without causing any reported casualties.
In a separate incident at Mianghundi, militants used UBGL (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher) and engaged in long-range firing targeting security positions. Alert security forces responded swiftly and effectively, compelling the attackers to flee the scene.
Another attempted attack occurred near the Western Bypass in Quetta, where Fitna Al Hindustan operatives again used UBGLs against a police patrol. The police response successfully neutralised the threat, and no losses were reported.
Meanwhile, in Mastung’s Isplinji area, a Frontier Corps (FC) post came under distant fire. Security forces retaliated immediately, preventing any damage or casualties.
The sources further revealed that in Kharan, militants launched a fire raid on the Lattar FC post. The attack was also thwarted due to a timely and robust response by FC personnel.
Officials stated that the coordinated nature of these attacks indicates a planned effort to destabilise the region. However, due to the vigilance and rapid response of security forces, all attempted assaults were successfully repelled.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and security in Balochistan and ensuring that such threats are dealt with decisively.
