NADRA launches new website: all you need to know

Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new and modern website to make identity services easier and more organised for users.

According to details, services like the identity card, NICOP, POC, and Family Registration Certificate (FRC) are now available on one platform.

The website also includes the nGRIDS system, which shows registration data and statistics in map form. It also allows users to compare population and registration data at the district level.

A new map gallery has been added to help with research and planning. The website also shows national and provincial data and trends.

It includes a system for registering births, deaths, marriages, and divorces. Verification services for banks, telecom companies, and government offices is in one place.

The call centre, IVR, and email support have been improved. The complaint system has also been made more effective for faster response.

The NADRA career portal has been upgraded, and applying online has become easier.

Information about NADRA offices inside and outside Pakistan, including registration centres and mobile registration vans, is now available in one place.

The Right to Information section and media centre have also been updated to modern standards.

Driving licenses now available on same day

In Punjab, learner and regular driving licenses will now be issued on the same day, making the process easier for motorcyclists.

According to details, the Punjab Traffic Police has introduced a new system to improve convenience for citizens.

Under this new policy, motorcyclists can get both a learner permit and a full driving license on the same day.

A traffic police spokesperson said the step is meant to reduce delays and encourage people to drive legally with proper licenses.

Important update for driving license applicants

Punjab Police have continued strict action against traffic rule violations across the province, officials said.

According to a spokesperson, more than 2.652 million driving licenses have been issued to citizens this year.

At the same time, 2,556,602 people were fined for breaking traffic rules.

Officials said these steps are part of efforts to improve road safety and ensure people follow traffic laws.
