The lineup for the 11th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) playoffs has been finalised. The teams that have qualified are Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans and Hyderabad Kingsmen.
They have secured the top four spots at the conclusion of the group stage.
At the top of the table was Peshawar Zalmi which finished with 17 points. Then it is followed by Islamabad United, which has 13 points.
The third place was claimed by Multan Sultans with 12 points.
The fourth position was clinched by Hyderabad Kingsmen with 10 points. They edged out Lahore Qalandars on net run rate.
The playoffs will officially begin in Karachi on April 28. It will be a qualifier where Zalmi will take on Islamabad United.
On April 29 the first eliminator will be played between Multan Sultans and Kingsmen in Lahore. The second eliminator is also scheduled at the same venue on May 1.
The final match of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will take place on May 3.
The place of Hyderabad Kingsmen was confirmed in the playoffs due to their dominant 108-run victory over Rawalpindiz. It was their last group match in Karachi.
Kingmen came on the crease to bat first and posted a massive 244 runs on the loss of six wickets.
This massive score was driven by aggressive knocks by Usman Khan who made 54 runs in 26 balls and Glenn Maxwell who made 70 runs in 37 balls and Kusal Perera who made 50 runs and remained unbeaten.
The Kingsmen did face a brief collapse in the middle overs but Perera and Maxwell made a once-in-a-lifetime 108-run partnership and took the total beyond 240.
In reply, Rawalpindiz struggled under pressure and were bowled out for 136 in 17.1 overs. Usman Khawaja top-scored with 66, but lacked support from the rest of the lineup.
Hunain Shah led the bowling attack with impressive figures of 4-22, while Akif Javed claimed three wickets as Kingsmen sealed a comprehensive win to book their playoff spot.
