The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, praised Field Marshal Asim Munir of the Pakistan army, as he played a key role in bringing the US and Iran to the negotiating table at the sixth ‘International Paigham-e-Islam Conference’ in Islamabad.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the Sixth International Message of Islam Conference organized by the Pakistan Ulema Council, said that Pakistan is playing an important role at the global level in promoting peace, dialogue, and trust.
He extended his congratulations to the Pakistan Ulema Council and the International Tahaffuz-e-Haramain Council on their organisation of the conference, calling it a best example of unity and love of the Muslim Ummah.
Presence of scholars, spiritual leaders and eminent personalities from different parts of the world in his address, substantiated Islam as a religion of peace, tolerance and brotherhood, the Prime Minister added.
The answer to the issues of the Muslim Ummah is in the form of mutual love, unity and good conduct,” he said.
He added that the recent meeting of the leadership of both countries on one platform to discuss the negotiations between Iran and the United States, at Pakistan’s invitation, is a good sign of the global confidence in Pakistan, which is beneficial to peace in the region.
A tribute to the role of Saudi Crown Prince.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed that Pakistan is playing a historic role in the cause of peace and unity of the Muslim Ummah, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and brotherly countries’ efforts in the negotiations between Iran and the US are commendable.
He added that the landmark development in Islamabad is a reflection of world’s trust and thus can serve as a stepping stone towards a peaceful future in the region.
In his address to the conference, the Prime Minister congratulated the organizers and the scholars and spiritual leaders present for the success of the conference and declared it to be the best example of unity, love and brotherhood of the Muslim Ummah.
