KP CM Afridi inaugurates development projects worth Rs25 billion in Mansehra

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi, on Wednesday, inaugurated and laid the foundation for 12 significant development projects valued at over Rs. 25 billion during his visit to the Mansehra district.

These projects are designed to enhance essential public services and promote overall development in Mansehra, with a specific focus on clean drinking water, healthcare, education, and sports facilities.

The initiatives are expected to improve the quality of life for local residents and integrate underdeveloped areas into the mainstream.

Among the key development projects are the Rs. 18.5 billion Mansehra Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme, the Rs. two billion Institute of Allied Health Sciences, the Rs. 1.8 billion Achhar Nala Dam, and the Rs. one billion Thakra Stadium upgrade project.

Additional initiatives include the upgrading of BHU Sandesar, the establishment of a Rescue Station at Pano Dheri, the inauguration of a Degree College for Boys, and the laying of the foundation stone for a Cath Lab.

Land allocated for Mansehra Water Supply Scheme

Furthermore, land has been designated for a graveyard, and projects such as the establishment of Kotkay Park, the Mansehra Water Supply Scheme, and the creation of Tehsil Tanawal are also included in the development package.

During the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister stated that these projects are a gift to the people of Mansehra and will lead to significant improvements in their daily lives.

He stated that the balanced development of all districts is the government’s highest priority and assured that resources are being allocated in a fair and transparent manner.

He further noted that it is the government’s duty to invest public funds in public welfare and that reforms in critical sectors such as health, education, clean drinking water, and sports are currently underway.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed his dedication to extending development to remote areas and ensuring that all projects are completed in line with transparency, merit, and quality standards.
