The premier left-arm pacer of Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi has reached a landmark achievement in test cricket on Friday.
He has become the first Pakistani bowler to complete 100 wickets in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).
The milestone was achieved by the pacer during the first test against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. In the match Shaheen Afridi was able to get a breakthrough early.
He dismissed opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy on the opening day.
The record has also added Shaheen Shah Afridi to the elite list of bowlers in the WTC history. He has become the 19th overall bowler to reach the 100-wicket mark since the competition began.
When it comes to Pakistani wicket takers in the WTC, Afridi stands at the top. He has a hundred wickets. He is closely followed by Noman Ali who has 89 wickets. Sajid Khan has taken 63 wickets and Naseem Shah has taken 60 wickets.
The next are Abrar Ahmed who has taken 47 wickets and Yasir Shah who took 41 wickets.
The last two are Hasan Ali with 35 wickets and Mohammad Abbas with 34 wickets.

In the test match the captain of the Bangladesh test team Najmul Hossain Shanto played a very commanding knock. He made 101 runs on 130 balls. Mominul Haque also played very well scoring 80 runs. Both of them held the innings after early setbacks.
The test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is part of the World Test Championship.
