25 goats were stolen by unidentified people, which were worth more than Rs1.9 million from Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area.
The incident happened after loading the sacrificial animals into a mini-truck late at night, as revealed by the owners and police on Sunday.
The incident took place in Block 8-A of Gulistan-e-Johar. The goats had been tied at a plot ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. The incident took place between the night of Friday and Saturday.
The police have revealed that the suspects came on motorcycles and in a car, then they loaded the goats into a mini-truck and then they fled the scene.
The CCTV footage of the incident showing the suspects taking away the animals has also surfaced.

Muhammad Osama Khan, the identified owner of the goats revealed that the stolen animals were worth over Rs1.9 million. The owner said that the goats had been brought to Karachi for sale during Eid-ul-Azha.
At the Malir Cantt police station, a report of the theft has been registered.
The police officials have given assurance that efforts are underway to trace and arrest the suspects with the help of CCTV footage and videos.
They also revealed that they are conducting further investigations in this case.
This is not the first time such an incident has happened. It is not an isolated incident. The theft of sacrificial animals has increasingly become a recurring trend across various cities in Pakistan.
Especially in recent years.
It is expected that that the Eid-ul-Azha will come around 25,26 and 27 May this year. Pilgrims have also finished their Hajj preparations.
