The federal government has announced an internship opportunity in the Information Ministry.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Media Fest Spring 2026 on May 21, the Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, announced 20 vacant positions for the internship opportunities for the students of Bahria University.
Danyal Chaudhary said that the government was committed to bringing youth into the first lane of the professional arena by providing practical opportunities in the media sector.
Speaking at a media event, he praised the contribution of graduates from Bahria University who are serving in leading television channels and public media organisations.
He also praised the initiatives such as Media Fest for promoting creativity, innovation and constructive expression among young people.
He said, “The need for responsible journalism to counter misinformation and promote a positive image of Pakistan.”
The Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting described media as a ‘sacred national trust’, saying that those nations which used truth as their strength were the ones that shaped history.
He stated, “In an age dominated by misinformation and negative narratives, responsible and conscious journalism has become essential for society.”

“A single truthful and honest news story has the power to transform the thinking of an entire nation,” he added while addressing students, faculty members, and media professionals present in the festival.
Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said that media students will play a crucial role in shaping Pakistan’s image and narrative in the years ahead.
Danyal Chaudhary also highlighted Pakistan’s demographic profile by saying that more than 60% of the country’s population consists of young people, adding that today’s media students would become tomorrow’s journalists, producers and opinion leaders.
He said these future professionals would bear the responsibility of presenting Pakistan’s true image to audiences at home and abroad.
The parliamentary secretary urged students to focus on the social impact of their work rather than pursuing ratings or viral trends.
He said meaningful journalism that contributes to positive social change should be regarded as the real measure of success.
He also told participants that Pakistan Television (PTV) Corporation was already offering internship opportunities for students and that the government was working to expand such programmes to provide greater opportunities for aspiring media professionals across the country.
