Newcastle United is currently negotiating with Osasuna to sign Spanish winger Victor Munoz.
The club is looking for a replacement for Anthony Gordon, who transferred to Barcelona for £69.3m, and Munoz is a key target.
However, a deal for the speedy forward, who has a release clause of 40m Euros (£34.5m), has not yet been finalised.
Newcastle is trying to act quickly this summer, having already signed promising goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Stade de Reims for £18.5m.
“The best players available on the market won’t stay for long,” said head coach Eddie Howe in May.
“The transfer market moves very fast now. Teams are very efficient, and we need to be one of those teams.”
Munoz all set for Spain’s World Cup match
Victor Munoz, who has previously played for Real Madrid and Barcelona, is currently getting ready for Spain’s first match in the World Cup.
Luis de la Fuente’s team will face Cape Verde in Atlanta on June 15.
Víctor Muñoz is a 22-year-old Spanish professional footballer who plays as a left winger for La Liga club CA Osasuna and the Spain national team. He has recently gained significant attention in the European transfer market due to a breakout season in 2025/26.
Victor Muñoz is a La Masia graduate. Born in Barcelona, the winger spent three years in FC Barcelona’s academy from 2014 to 2017. He then moved to Damm, played for Real Madrid, and currently represents Osasuna and the Spanish national team.
After making his senior debut and scoring his first international goal against Serbia, Muñoz was selected for Luis de la Fuente’s Spain World Cup squad.
