According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gunman, Apple AirPods that come with built-in cameras are expected to be released in 2027.
A May report had previously claimed that Apple was in its final stages of developing the AirPods that have in-built cameras.
New reports suggest that these AirPods will be officially launched along with Apple’s foldable iPhone and the 20th anniversary iPhone.
Mark Gunman further claims that these airbuds will have external indicator lights on the stems.
This feature may be used to notify people standing nearby when data is being delivered to the cloud.
Siri AI is also expected to be supported by these AirPods to understand a person’s environment better.
Apple has termed this feature, Visual Intelligence. The in-built cameras on these AirPods may also feature turn by turn walking directions and reminders.
