At the WWDC keynote this week, Apple revealed a ton of new features and updates, potentially hinting at a foldable iPhone Ultra or an iPhone 18 Fold.
The internet is still discussing what will be included in the newest Apple operating systems, such as iOS 27 and macOS 27 Golden Gate, from Spatial Reframing to the brand-new Siri AI.
According to developer Sam Henri Gold, iOS 27 code appears to make reference to the foldable iPhone, which has been dubbed iPhone Fold but may eventually go by the name iPhone Ultra.
“foldState” and “angleDegrees” are two new parameters mentioned in the iOS 27 framework.
There is only one built-in display in all of the iPhones that have been released to date.
This is another indication of a new foldable device with multiple displays if Apple is adding it into the most recent version of iOS.
The foldable iPhone will have a large foldable display in addition to an external display that can be used when the device is closed, according to early leaks and dummy units.
Online rumours and reports suggest a potential September announcement and end-of-year release date for Apple’s foldable iPhone.
However, Apple hasn’t made an official announcement about the iPhone 18 Fold yet.
Leaks suggest new changes in design features of iPhone 18
Early leaks indicate significant changes in the design and features of the iPhone 18 series, which is anticipated to launch in 2026 and beyond, as well as in the way Apple releases its phones.
September 2026 is still expected to see the release of the priciest models, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Apple’s long-rumored foldable phone, also known as the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra, is expected to join them. It may cost more than $2,000.
