Nex Playground is aiming to make kids more active in the United Kingdom (UK). The new gaming console is launching this month.
The chief executive of Nex, David Lee has told BBC that the Playground aims to get kids moving.
It is expected to launch on 22 June in the UK and Ireland.
The gaming console will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) along with a built-in camera to track the body movements of players.
Research company Circana uncovered that it was the third best selling console in the United States (US) during Black Friday 2025.
In a surprising twist, it outsold the Xbox Series S and X.
The price of the Nex Playground is set at £269 in the UK and Ireland upon its release.
Players will receive five starter games for free. However, they will need a subscription to play over 60 games.

Starter games include Fruit Ninja, Starri, Party Fowl, Whack-a-Mole Deluxe and Go Keeper.
Other gaming titles include NexPets: Puppies, Sword Slash Adventure, Zumba Fitness Party, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Mayhem, Bluey: Bust-a-Move and Homerun Heroes: StarStrikers to name a few.
Some of the company’s partnerships include Mattel, Paramount, Sesame Street, BBC Studios and Universal.
Nex Playground connects to a TV and uses body motion.
A young player’s mother shared her testimony saying, “I am so glad we invested in the Playground system. Seeing that confidence and that self-esteem grow and seeing her happy and smiling instead of frustrated, means the world to me.”
The new gaming console is now available for pre-order in the UK on online stores like Amazon.
