Pakistan launches online payment system for Hajj dues

Strong response Hajj 2027 registrations cross 51,000 mark quickly

In keeping with the vision of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has launched a new online payment application for the annual pilgrimage through the “1LINK” digital payment network.

This will enable intending pilgrims to register their Hajj expenses and dues from their homes using the 1LINK online payment platform.

All the activities of Hajj, from registration to paying the bill, are now digitised, according to the ministry, to offer a more convenient, clear and rapid experience for the applicants.

The new system is a more streamlined approach to the application process and minimises in-person visits and paperwork.

The ministry’s spokesperson revealed that the online registration/payment facility will be available to overseas Pakistanis too.

The registration process for Hajj 2027 is already underway, with over 150,000 people already registered via the online Hajj portal, a testament to the increasing trust of the public in the digital platform.

The online application inquiry feature has also been added to the Hajj 2027 applicant’s online application due to the latest enhancement.

The new service enables the registered applicant to obtain the status of his / her applications remotely without making a manual request or visiting the office of the ministry.

The digital inquiry system developed by the National Information Board (NIB) will help applicants who are registered for Hajj from 2027 to 2030.

The online portal helps users to get real-time updates about their applications and provides important information regarding Hajj.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that the new digital programs aim to facilitate the application process for the Hajj in a more efficient, transparent and user-friendly manner.

The online services will not only keep the applicants informed of the status of their applications but also keep them well informed and guided during the Hajj registration process, officials added, benefiting both domestic and overseas Pakistani pilgrims.
