The Centaurus Mall, in partnership with MNS Agriculture University Multan, has launched the 10th Annual Mango Festival, highlighting Pakistan’s rich agricultural heritage and supporting the promotion of local farming, tourism, and agribusiness.
The event celebrates the country’s world-renowned mango industry and showcases the “King of Fruits” on a grand public platform.
The five-day festival, being held from July 8 to 12, features the participation of mango growers, agricultural researchers, exporters, industry experts, and consumers. The event offers visitors an opportunity to explore over 65 premium and rare mango varieties sourced from different regions of Pakistan, reflecting the diversity and quality of the country’s mango production.
Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi graced the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest. The event was attended by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO of The Centaurus Group and Mövenpick, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Tourism, senior officials from MNS Agriculture University Multan, agricultural experts, business community representatives, and members of the media.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan said that The Centaurus Mall has transformed from a commercial destination into a national platform dedicated to promoting Pakistan’s agriculture, culture, tourism, and economic opportunities.
He stated that the annual Mango Festival represents the group’s vision of bringing together farmers, researchers, businesses, and consumers while showcasing Pakistan’s exceptional agricultural products to both domestic and international audiences.
He appreciated the role of MNS Agriculture University Multan in advancing agricultural research, innovation, and modern farming practices. He noted that the university’s efforts are contributing significantly to enhancing the quality, productivity, and global competitiveness of Pakistani mangoes.
Visitors to the festival can explore and purchase a wide range of renowned mango varieties, including Sindhri, Chaunsa, Langra, Anwar Ratol and Dussehri, alongside several rare cultivars such as Neelum, Begum Khas, Khas-ul-Khas, Sensation, Tota Pari, Gulaab-e-Khas, Khatie, Dhasi, Machaon, Abazai, Ahmed Abdali, Golam, Faiz Karim, Abosi and Patta Stto.
