The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) has announced that Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly General Elections 2026 have been rescheduled.
The AJK Election Commission has revised the schedule for the 2026 general elections, announcing new polling dates for different divisions.
Under the amended schedule, polling in Mirpur Division will be held on July 27, 2026, while voting in Muzaffarabad Division and the 12 constituencies reserved for Jammu and Kashmir refugees residing in Pakistan will take place on August 2, 2026.
Polling in Poonch Division has been scheduled for August 10, 2026, completing the phased election process.
Following the revision, the Election Commission has directed returning officers, election staff, and candidates in all concerned districts to complete electoral activities in accordance with the updated timetable.
The commission said all arrangements would be finalized as per the revised schedule to ensure the conduct of free, fair, and transparent elections.
