Former world champion Amir Khan is hosting an event named ‘Azadi Fight Night’ in Islamabad today.
There will be free entry for the public with 10 fights scheduled at the Sports Complex Islamabad.
The event, called Amir Khan Azadi Fight Night, will begin at 06:00pm at the Amir Khan Boxing Academy inside the Islamabad Sports Complex, also known as Jinnah Stadium.
In his post on X, Amir Khan said that Press conference and weight in done ready for the big event tomorrow at the Sports complex at the Amir khan Academy at the sports complex. Free entry for public, 10 fights, live on Geo Super TV at 06:00pm-10:00pm.
The event is expected to continue until around 10:00pm and will be broadcast live on Geo Super.
What is happening at Amir Khan Azadi Fight Night?
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held before the fights to officially open the newly built Amir Khan Boxing Academy.
Amir Khan says the academy and Amir Khan Azadi Fight Night aim to give Pakistani boxers more opportunities to compete professionally and represent the country internationally.
The card features 10 professional bouts, including a fight involving Pakistani boxer Usman Wazir.
Boxers from outside Pakistan will also take part. They include Haris Aftab Khan, who has travelled from Denmark and trains under Amir Khan’s uncle and manager, Taz Khan. Two professional boxers from England are also on the card.
Entry to Amir Khan Azadi Fight Night is free. Fans do not need tickets to attend the event at the Sports Complex.
People unable to attend in person can watch the event live on Geo Super.
Amir Khan has also called on local businesses to support the event and help promote boxing and youth sports in Pakistan.
Organisers say funds raised through the event will support youth sports and welfare projects.
The Amir Khan Azadi Fight Night series is not new. An earlier edition was held in Karachi in August 2025.
This year’s event moves the series to Islamabad and comes alongside the opening of Amir Khan’s boxing academy in the capital.
