The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has announced Eid-ul-Azha holidays for the public.

According to an official notification, a three-day public holiday will be observed from May 26 to May 28.

The President of the AJK, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, approved the holiday notification under which all government offices in the territory will remain closed from Tuesday to Thursday.

All of the government offices and educational institutions will remain closed across the region.

The holiday arrangements also apply to public and private educational institutions, including schools and colleges, as well as private offices, allowing residents to observe the religious festival.

Officials said the decision was taken to facilitate Eid celebrations and ensure the smooth observance of one of the most significant events in the Islamic calendar.

Normal operations are expected to resume after the holiday period ends.

Meanwhile, the government of Sindh has also revised its Eid-ul-Azha holiday schedule, reducing the previously announced four-day break to three days.

Under the latest notification, public holidays in Sindh will likewise be observed from May 26 to May 28.

Government offices, autonomous bodies and semi-autonomous institutions will remain closed during the period, while essential services will continue to operate.

Provincial authorities said offices across Sindh were expected to reopen on Friday, May 29.
