Marka-e-Haq

The Balochistan Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution paying tribute to Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir for their steadfast leadership during Marka-e-Haq and Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.

The resolution was tabled by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

The resolution was passed during a session of the Balochistan Assembly held in Quetta, with Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai in the chair.

Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, meaning ‘a wall of solid lead,’ was launched by Pakistan against India on May 7, 2025, after unprovoked aggression from the other side.

The name may be hard to pronounce and understand, but the operation itself marked an important moment in history which changed strategies and set new standards.

The term means “a solid wall of lead,” and Pakistan’s actions reflected this meaning.

Marka-e-Haq (meaning “Battle of Truth”) is a national remembrance day in Pakistan, observed annually on May 10.
