The Balochistan government has announced supplementary examinations for Class 8 students as part of new education reforms.
Balochistan supplementary exam system
According to a notification issued by the School Education Department, the Supplementary Middle Standard Examination will begin from the 2026 academic session.
The new system will give students another chance to pass their exams without losing a full academic year.
The Balochistan Assessment and Examination Commission (BAEC) will hold the supplementary examinations in the first week of March every year.
Students who have failed one or more subjects in the annual Class 8 examination will be allowed to appear in the supplementary exams.
The new policy also will also allow the students who do not clear the annual Class 8 examination to take conditional admission in Grade 9.
They will have to pass the supplementary examination to confirm their admission to the next class.
Education Minister will teach Chemistry, English
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has responded to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s direction to teach one class every week in a government school.
The minister said English and Chemistry are his favourite subjects. He said he will teach English in primary schools and Chemistry in high schools. He also plans to teach other subjects from time to time.
Rana Sikandar Hayat said he will begin teaching from the first week of September. He will visit one school every week without informing anyone in advance. According to the minister, no one will know which school he will visit or when.
He said he has great respect for teachers and would be proud to teach students.
Punjab announces result date
All Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) in Punjab have announced the result date for Class 10. As per the officials of Punjab’s education boards, the Class 10 (Matric) 2026 results will be released on Thursday, August 6, at 10:00 AM.
Students will be able to check their results through the official websites of their respective BISE boards.
Before this, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) announced the Class 9 and Class 10 annual examination results on July 29 at 11:15 AM.
