The Punjab Traffic Police has launched a province-wide enforcement campaign, announcing that bikers found on a motorcycle without functional indicators will now face a huge fine of Rs2000.
This measure is part of a strict new phase of road safety enforcement throughout Punjab.
Officials have described this issue as more dangerous than a standard traffic violation, stating that the lack of indicators is a major factor in road accidents.
Traffic authorities report that many serious and preventable collisions happen simply because riders do not signal properly, endangering not only themselves but also innocent road users in potentially life-threatening situations.
The department further mentioned that ensuring safety compliance is quite economical, as maintaining or installing proper indicators costs nearly Rs. 400.

The Traffic Police stressed on the mandatory use of helmets for all motorcyclists.
Riders have also been encouraged to routinely maintain their vehicles to guarantee they follow basic safety standards, which is essential for protecting both riders and their families during everyday travel.
The Traffic Police issued a firm warning that enforcement has now entered a strict zero-tolerance phase for all bikers across Punjab who will face a hefty fine upon non-compliance.
They assured that no violator will be an exception, and swift action will be taken against anyone who fails to follow the new traffic laws imposed throughout the province.
