Fly Jinnah has started regular direct flights between Karachi and Riyadh. The new service gives passengers another option to travel between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The airline operated its first Karachi-Riyadh flight on Friday night. It carried 146 passengers.
A short ceremony was held at Karachi airport before the flight took off. Officials cut a cake to mark the launch of the new route.
Representatives from the Pakistan Airports Authority, Civil Aviation Authority, Airport Security Force and other departments attended the event.
Fly Jinnah expands Saudi Arabia flights
Fly Jinnah already operates international flights to Saudi Arabia. Its existing routes include flights between Pakistan and Jeddah and Dammam.
The airline said the new route will make travel easier for Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia. It will also improve air links between Karachi and Riyadh.
Fly Jinnah to resume Lahore-Islamabad flight operations
Previously, Fly Jinnah had suspended its domestic flight service. The airline is now set to resume flights between Lahore and Islamabad after a gap of nearly five years.
Defence and Aviation Minister Khawaja Asif announced the development in a post on X. He said Fly Jinnah will operate two daily flights between the two cities from May 1, 2026.
Flights to make travel easier
Khawaja Asif said the new service will make travel easier for passengers. He said it will especially help lawyers, business people, patients and senior citizens.
The minister also said the flights could support the government’s efforts to reduce fuel use and traffic on roads. They could also help working people save time.
Khawaja Asif said the government remains focused on improving air links between cities across Pakistan and with international destinations.
