Defence and Aviation Minister Khawaja Asif extended his congratulations to the nation for reaching yet another significant milestone in aviation, as he announced the reinstatement of domestic flights by Fly Jinnah.

In a message posted on X, the Minister indicated that after a suspension of nearly five years, Fly Jinnah is set to begin two daily flights between Lahore and Islamabad, beginning on May 1, 2026.

He emphasised that this service would greatly enhance convenience for passengers, especially for lawyers, business professionals, patients, and senior travelers.

Khawaja Asif further mentioned that the revival of these flights would also aid the government’s austerity initiatives by decreasing fuel usage, reducing road congestion, and saving time for working individuals.

He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to improving air connectivity between various cities in Pakistan and to international locations.

Authorities further stated the NOTAM was issued ahead of the deadline of the previous closure, ensuring there was no gap in the restriction.
