GB elections PM Shehbaz praises Bilawal’s campaign

The inside story of the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari has emerged, revealing key developments on the federal budget and political coordination.

According to details, a government delegation led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders at the Presidency. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, federal ministers, and officials from the Finance Ministry accompanied the Prime Minister.

Upon arrival at the Presidency, President Asif Ali Zardari welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led the party’s delegation. The meeting included discussions on the federal budget and other important national matters.

Sources said that the government and the PPP reached an agreement on most of the budget proposals, and the PPP has reportedly given a green signal for the budget’s approval.

However, sources added that technical committees will continue consultations on certain workable points.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated President Zardari on the Pakistan Peoples Party’s success in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections and, smiling, remarked that young Bilawal had run a better election campaign than them.

In response, President Asif Ali Zardari, also smiling, reportedly said, “After all, he is my son.”

Sources further said that the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir also attended the meeting, where the recent situation in Azad Kashmir was discussed.
