GTA 6 could cost up to Rs64,000 in Pakistan

GTA 6 price in Pakistan

The long wait for Grand Theft Auto VI is finally nearing its end, but for many gamers, one question remains bigger than ever: what will the GTA 6 price be?

Fresh retailer listings that briefly appeared online have fuelled speculation about the cost of Rockstar Games’ upcoming blockbuster, with some reports suggesting that the most expensive edition of GTA 6 could reach nearly Rs64,000 in Pakistan.

The new rumours surfaced just days before Rockstar is set to open global pre-orders for GTA 6 on June 25. The company has already confirmed that the game will launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

According to reports, retailer FNAC Portugal briefly published three GTA 6-related product listings before they were removed. The listings reportedly carried the labels RS1, RS4 and RS5 and showed three different price points.

The prices were listed at €89.99, €119.99 and €199.99. Based on current exchange rates, these amounts translate to roughly Rs29,000, Rs38,000 and Rs64,000 respectively.

Gaming publication Viciados reported that the prices may represent different versions of the game, including a standard edition, a deluxe edition and a premium collector’s edition packed with additional content or physical collectibles.

However, neither Rockstar Games nor FNAC Portugal has confirmed that the listings were genuine, meaning the figures should be treated as unverified for now.

GTA 6 price debate continues ahead of pre-orders

The leaked figures have reignited industry-wide discussions about the GTA 6 price, which has become one of the most closely watched topics in gaming.

Analysts have already predicted that Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive could push game prices beyond current industry standards. Earlier forecasts from Bank of America suggested a base price of around $80 for the standard edition, higher than the typical launch price of most AAA games.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously defended potential price increases, arguing that players measure value by the size and quality of the experience being offered.

If the reported €199.99 listing turns out to be accurate, it would make GTA 6 one of the most expensive major video game collector’s editions ever released.

Retailers preparing for massive demand

As anticipation builds, major retailers around the world are preparing for a surge in traffic once pre-orders go live.

MediaMarkt in Europe has already launched a dedicated GTA 6 teaser page, while Amazon US and other retailers are reportedly updating their systems ahead of the launch. Most of these pages currently contain placeholders rather than final product details.

The recent retailer activity follows Rockstar’s June 18 cover art reveal, which showcased protagonists Jason and Lucia against the neon-lit backdrop of Vice City.

While players can already add GTA 6 to their wishlists on PlayStation and Xbox storefronts, PC gamers may have to wait longer. Rockstar has only confirmed console versions for launch, continuing its long-standing strategy of releasing PC editions at a later date.

With pre-orders opening on June 25, fans are expected to finally get official confirmation on the GTA 6 price, available editions and what each version will include.
