Harvard University has invited applications for its Harvard Academy Scholars Program for the 2027–28 academic year.
The program is offering a fully funded two-year postdoctoral fellowship for outstanding early-career researchers in the social sciences and law.
Funding and benefits
Selected scholars will receive an annual stipend of $80,000 during the two-year fellowship. They will also get up to $5,000 for research expenses and conference travel.
The fellowship gives scholars the chance to work with leading academics at Harvard. It also helps them build professional connections through research and mentorship.

Required documents

- Curriculum vitae (CV); including list of publications
- Research proposal (2000 words maximum); including intellectual objectives and planned methodological and disciplinary work
- One scholarly writing sample, for example, a PhD dissertation chapter or peer-reviewed journal article. Co-authored texts are acceptable provided each author’s contribution is clearly specified and authorship is not shared with an academic advisor. This should be in English and no longer than fifty pages.
- A copy of your PhD program transcript
- Three letters of recommendation
Application deadline
Applications must be submitted by September 18, 2026. Those selected will spend two years at Harvard carrying out research while using the university’s academic resources and working with its scholarly community.
Harvard opens fully funded MBA scholarships
Harvard Business School has started accepting applications for its MBA scholarship program. The scholarship is for talented students who want to study for an MBA in the United States.
The university will provide need-based financial aid to help students pay for their education. Harvard said that the program is meant to make its MBA more affordable for students from around the world.
According to Harvard Business School, about half of its MBA students receive need-based scholarships.
The average scholarship is around $100,000 over two years. Students with greater financial need may also receive full tuition support.
