Balochistan government has announced short-term summer vacations for all the pubic, and private schools in the province’s winter zone. The Secretary of School Education issued the notification on Monday.
According to the issued notification, all the public and private schools will remain closed from July 18 to August 2 in the cold areas of Balochistan.
The notification also confirmed the reopening of all the public and private schools on August 3 across the province.
Holidays policy for schools and colleges in Punjab
On the other hand, the Punjab government also announced its new policy regarding the holidays in schools and colleges across the province.
According to the Punjab government, the schools and colleges in Punjab will remain open for 190 days, which will reduce the holidays across Punjab.
As per the policy, the summer vacations will be reduced from 2.5 months to 1.5 months.
The purpose of the new policy is to enhance the students’ progress at the provincial level. The Private School Association also supported the newly introduced policy by the provincial government.

Earlier, the Private school organisations in Punjab have expressed serious concern over the delay in issuing the official academic calendar, even as the new academic year has already begun, according to media reports.
School owners have urged the provincial Secondary Education Department to immediately release the final academic calendar, warning against further delays in the matter.
They said that, in view of changing weather conditions, it is essential to have a clear schedule for holidays, examinations, and other academic activities to ensure that the education system runs smoothly throughout the year.
