Pakistani fast bowlers Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Abbas have been punished for breaching the International Cricket Council (ICC) Code of Conduct on Wednesday.
The ICC said that both players were found guilty of a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct. Khurram Shahzad has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee. Mohammad Abbas has received an official warning.
The ICC also gave one demerit point to each player. Additionally, both players accepted the charges and agreed to the sanctions.

According to the ICC, the incident happened during the first Test of the ICC World Test Championship series between Pakistan and the West Indies in Tarouba.
Khurram Shahzad was fined for celebrating very close to West Indies batter Shai Hope after taking his wicket in the 17th over of the second innings. The ICC said his actions could have provoked an aggressive reaction.
Mohammad Abbas was given an official warning for celebrating near batter Jomel Warrican after taking the final wicket of the innings.
The ICC said both players breached Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct. The rule covers the use of words, actions or gestures that insult or provoke a batter after they are dismissed.
Both players admitted the offence and accepted the punishment proposed by ICC Match Referee Jeff Crowe. As a result, there was no need for a formal hearing.
The charges were made by on-field umpires Alex Wharf and Richard Kettleborough, along with third umpire Jayaraman Madanagopal.
