The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced temporary power outages in several areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal on Sunday due to routine maintenance, repair and development work.
The company said electricity supply will be restored as soon as the work is completed. It also requested consumers to cooperate during the temporary disruption.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, power will remain suspended in Khanna Dak, Burma, Ghouri Garden, UC-2, Waheedabad and Rehman Enclave in Islamabad from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
In Rawalpindi, electricity will remain unavailable in Al Noor Colony and Qadeer Road from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Power supply will also be affected in Charing Cross, Millatabad and Askari 11 from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
In Attock, scheduled outages will take place in Bahtar Mor, P Small Industrial, Kohistan Enclave, Kashif Gul, Model Town and Mix Industrial from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
In Jhelum, electricity will remain suspended from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM in F-7 (Kachri), Ajmal Shaheed, Kareempura, Bilal Town, Abbaspura, Borian, F-2 (Chip Board), Industrial Area and F-10 (Kala Base).
Areas connected to the Mureed feeder in Chakwal will face a power outage from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.
IESCO also said repair work in the GSO Circle will affect electricity supply in RA Bazaar, AWT, Mall Road, AFIC, Tench Bhata, Qasim Market, CMH, Sprint Mall, Kiani Road, Army Flats, Haider Road, NLC, Canning Road, Hospital Road, NIASR, New GHQ and other nearby areas connected to the transmission circuits.
The company said electricity will be restored before the scheduled time if the maintenance work is completed early. It also apologised for the temporary inconvenience and asked consumers for their cooperation.
