How much was the man charging for parking?

How can residents report illegal parking?

The district administration has urged residents to report illegal parking stands and encroachments. It also asked citizens to inform authorities about other public issues that cause trouble for residents.
The administration said public complaints and information can help officials take timely action against those involved in illegal activities.

Mohsin Naqvi announces operation to remove encroachments

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced a major operation to remove illegal encroachments from Islamabad.
He said the move aims to restore the beauty of the federal capital after the demolition of Khanna Police Station.
Naqvi said strict action would be taken against people occupying greenbelts and other public spaces without permission.
He added that the operation would cover greenbelts across the city. However, street vendors using pushcarts and roadside stalls would be given space in designated markets so they could continue their businesses.

What other improvements are planned for Islamabad?

The interior minister said all police stations in Islamabad would be renovated and upgraded. The aim is to improve their buildings and facilities.
He also announced the establishment of five new rescue centres to improve emergency services in the capital.
Naqvi further said fire brigade vehicles with 88-metre ladders had arrived in Islamabad. He added that the new fire and rescue system is expected to become fully operational within four to five months.
