The well-known actor Salman Saqib Sheikh alias Mani said while speaking to the journalists that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan should be free from Adiala jail on Eid al-Adha.
He further made remarks that the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, has been in jail for more than 1000 days.
Actor Mani said while speaking to the journalists that he requested the government to free Imran Khan, as the founder of PTI had learned his lesson, but spent more than 1000 days in jail.
He also said that the founder of PTI is in jail for a very long time and deserves leniency.
Imran Khan’s arrest
It is important to mention that the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, was arrested on August 5, 2023, in the Toshakhana case.
The Lahore police and other security agencies arrested Imran Khan on August 5 at his Lahore residence for failing to disclose the income earned by selling the state gifts.
Imran Khan is currently in Adiala jail
The former prime minister and founder of PTI, Imran Khan, is currently in Adiala jail due to multiple criminal charges against him. On the other hand, the PTI’s leadership and workers are struggling for the release of Imran Khan.
Earlier, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sohail Afridi, joined the sit-in with the sisters of Imran Khan.
Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan also praised Sohail Afridi for backing Imran Khan and struggling for the release of the PTI founder.
