Several individuals of Indian origin were arrested by the Canadian police during a crackdown. The arrested included a truck driver, and 1.7 tons of narcotics were seized.
The news came on Wednesday, and the worth of seized narcotics was a massive $139 million.
According to a private Indian news channel, the Canadian government named the operation “Project Bay.” The arrested individuals of Indian origin were involved in the smuggling of narcotics.
This is not the first time such news has come into the light. Several people of Indian origin have been arrested for committing such illegal activities in other countries, too.
It shows the incompetence of the current Modi government which is unable to control the criminal elements in the country.

After the investigation was conducted it was also revealed that the narcotics included methamphetamine, cocaine and opium.
All of the drugs being smuggled were in bulk quantities. The transport was being done by using commercial trucks that were operating between the US and Canada.
The individuals involved in this case of Indian origin were identified as Thindal, Simrajeet Singh, Gagandeep, Jatinderpal Singh, Kanwarpal Kular, Jaswinder Sohi, Harjvinder Sandhu, Tejvinder Sandhu, Gundeep Tariwal, Tarminder Singh, Karandeep Singh and Mehakpreet Singh.
17 weapons were also recovered from them. The weapons included an anti-tank rifle, money counters, luxury jewellery, six laptops, 43 cell phones and a vehicle used by the group.
There were multiple agencies involved in this operation, which included the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Homeland Security Investigations.
