The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a weather alert, warning of rain and strong winds in the next 12 to 24 hours.
According to the NDMA’s National Emergency Operations Centre, the expected weather matches earlier forecasts shared a few months ago.
The authority has also already warned about possible weather conditions from April to June.
Islamabad weather
The alert says Islamabad may experience thunderstorms, strong winds, and rain. There is also a chance of hail in some areas, which could cause damage.
The next 24 hours will see a change from early morning clouds to a warm, sunny afternoon. The temperature is expected to peak at 27°C. There is a little chance of rain tomorrow as well.
According to the weather channel, the weather will be cloudy tomorrow.

Heavy rain and strong winds are also expected in the nearby cities of Punjab.
These cities include Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, and Mandi Bahauddin.
Weather today
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), rain and thunderstorms are likely in districts such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Malakand, Kohistan, Battagram, Haripur, Peshawar, and Mansehra.
Other areas include Abbottabad, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan. These may also receive rain with strong winds.
In Balochistan, rain and winds are expected in Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah, Pishin, Barkhan, and Kohlu.
The NDMA also said snowfall is likely in upper areas, especially Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), which may affect traffic.
The authority has further warned about strong winds, lightning, and hail that could cause damage to the weak buildings, trees, crops, and electricity systems.
According to the NEOC, current weather patterns remain consistent with forecasts issued three to four months earlier.
The authority has also released a broader outlook reviewing expected weather conditions across the country for the April to June period.
