Jazz has provided a major update to its customers, informing them about the latest developments on internet disruption across Pakistan.

The officials of the Jazz network said that the technical teams are working with the international internet providers to reroute the traffic via alternate links to neutralise the connectivity in the country.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has confirmed earlier that there was a disturbance in the internet connectivity all across Pakistan, as a major fault has been witnessed in the international submarine cable system, named SEA-ME-WE 5 (SMW5).

PTA added that the users could experience a disruption in the internet service quality due to the fault that occurred.

The authorities of the major Pakistani network Jazz further stated that their teams are in close coordination with the PTA, Transworld Associates, and other major stakeholders to normalise the ongoing internet situation.

The customers will be informed through the Jazz World (Simosa) app, the official means, whenever the internet lag gets fixed by the international technical teams.
