KARACHI: A garments factory in the Export Processing Zone in Landhi caught fire on Monday evening. Fire tenders have been dispatched to the area.
According to fire brigade officials, the fire started in the second floor of the factory. Due to being a holiday the factory is empty.
The fire has intensified in the factory, according to the rescue officials
13 fire tenders and one snorkel are busy in trying to extinguish the fire.
This is the second time this month a fire has started in the Export Processing Zone in Landhi.
Earlier this month a building collapsed after a fire broke out in a garment factory in the Landhi area of Karachi, injuring two firefighters.
House catches fire
Meanwhile a house in Nazimabad area of Karachi also caught fire. Fire brigades were sent to the area. The fire has been brought under control, according to Rescue 1122.
