The government of Pakistan has announced a new price for Kerosene oil in Pakistan.
According to the official notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by 41 paisa per litre and has been set at Rs289 and 27 paisa per litre.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, the adjustment in the kerosene price was made in view of changes in global petroleum prices. The new price will remain applicable for the prescribed period.
Pakistan reviews petroleum prices based on several factors, including international crude oil prices, fluctuations in the rupee’s value and other relevant market conditions. Changes in global oil prices can therefore affect the prices of petroleum products in the domestic market.
The latest reduction will provide a small amount of relief to consumers, although the impact of a 41-paisa cut is expected to remain limited.
Kerosene oil is used for household and other essential purposes, particularly in some areas where access to other energy sources is limited.
Following the latest adjustment, kerosene oil will now be available at Rs289.27 per litre, compared with the previous price of Rs289.68 per litre.
The government’s regular price adjustments are intended to reflect changes in international petroleum markets while taking domestic economic factors into account.

Petrol, diesel price in Pakistan
OGRA has also announced new prices for petroleum products, decreasing the rate of petrol and slightly increasing the rate of high-speed diesel.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 0.94 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel has increased by Rs 0.54 per litre.
The new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 324.98 per litre. Similarly, the new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 382.79 per litre.
Later, on July 20, the government reduced the price of petrol by Rs 0.35 per litre, bringing it down to Rs 315.80 per litre.
However, the price of diesel increased by Rs 5.71 per litre on the same day, reaching Rs 360.60 per litre.
The government has issued a formal notification confirming that the prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged on August 11, 2026.
