LHC cancels criminal branch staff leave for Friday, Saturday

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has cancelled Friday and Saturday leave for employees of its Criminal Branch.

According to an official notification issued by the Assistant Registrar, no leave will be accepted for Friday and Saturday.

The notification states that all officers and staff posted at the LHC principal seat as well as its benches, will report for duty as usual from Friday.

According to court sources, the Assistant Registrar of the Criminal Branch issued the directive withdrawing previously approved weekend leave for employees.

Under the orders, all officers and employees will be required to attend work on Friday and Saturday in line with their regular schedules.

No official reason for the cancellation of leave was provided in the notification. However, the move comes amid heightened administrative activity within the court system.

Court officials said all concerned staff members have been directed to ensure their presence and continue performing their duties according to routine office hours.

Easypaisa faces service disruption

One of the digital banks in Pakistan, Easypaisa, faced service disruption on June 11, Thursday.

In their Instagram story, Easypaisa apologised to the public for the discomfort and the halt to their transactions.

According to the media reports, the users faced multiple complications, including login trouble with their accounts even after they entered the five-digit PIN number.

The accounts of retailers, shopkeepers, and vendors stayed all good, while the accounts of the basic customers reportedly had glitches.

Many users also reported that the biometric verification service was also out of order.

The company has explained the whole situation in their Instagram story, stating, “We are currently experiencing intermittent service disruptions affecting some users. Our teams are actively working to resolve the issue and restore services as quickly as possible”.
